Overview
Reminder notifications alert you before your meetings and events start, so nothing slips by. You can choose how far in advance you're reminded, whether a sound plays (and how loud), and whether a pop-up appears on screen.
Setup takes about two minutes and is done once from User Settings → Notifications. Your browser will also ask for permission to show notifications the first time you turn them on.
Steps
1. Log in
Sign in to your account with your email and password.
2. Open User Settings
In the left-hand menu, click the User Settings icon (the person with a gear).
3. Click Notifications
Under General, click Notifications. The Notifications page opens on the right.
4. Enable browser notifications
Under Browser notifications, make sure the status shows Enabled. If your browser asks to show notifications, click Allow.
When the calendar tab is hidden, reminders arrive through your computer's notification center; otherwise you'll see an in-app toast.
5. Set your Remind Me timing
Use the Remind me dropdown to choose how far ahead you're alerted, such as 10 minutes before.
6. Turn on the reminders you want
- Play a sound — switch it on, then drag the Volume slider to set the level.
- Pop-up reminders — switch it on to see an on-screen pop-up before each event.
Troubleshooting
- No reminders while you're in another tab or app? Check your computer's system settings and make sure notifications from your browser are allowed.
- Clicked Block by mistake? Open your browser's site settings (the icon next to the address bar), change Notifications to Allow, then refresh the page.
- No sound? Make sure Play a sound is on, the volume isn't at zero, and your computer isn't muted or in Do Not Disturb / Focus mode.
